Review on Facebook – “I didn’t actually realise how hard being a self publisher was until I asked some independent stores to stock my book!!! Some had all the excuses they could find not to stock it, without even seeing it! Then I came across BOOK FACE, and more importantly, Taysa, who is an absolute gem to deal with, she is welcoming, positive and happy everytime I see her, knows her stuff, AND importantly to self publishers, a lady who takes a chance on people and their efforts! Thank you” – Mark Anthony

Review on Product Review – “I live on the Gold Coast. I just wanted to praise the Big B second hand book store located in an arcade in Burleigh Heads (off James St). I am an avid reader and love big, well written ‘saga’ type books that take you away to another time in history and are not the ‘he said, she did’ type of dreadful stuff that many writers these days spiel out. I love books by Noel Barber (Tanamera) and Peter Forbath (The Last Hero) (both ex o’seas journalists from the 1930’s) who write wonderful adventure type books based on true history (these two were based in Singapore before & after the 2nd world war and also Peter’s is about darkest Africa in the 1800’s) that you just can’t put down. So I was talking to the lady (Cathy) who runs this book store a few weeks ago. I told her some of the authors I love. She remembered what I had said to her. She phoned me this week to tell me that she had another Noel Barber book come in. For her to remember my name (I had left my number) and for her to take the trouble to phone me (I was actually in hospital but she didn’t know this) was just great customer service. I phoned her this morning and told her I would be in to get the book next week. Thank you for good old fashioned great customer service!” – gail1

Review on True Local – “All I can say is that I have never seen so many books in a second-hand bookshop in my life. It didn’t take me long to have an arm full of books ready to buy and take home to Melbourne, though I could have spent much, much longer here than I did just marvelling at all of the titles that were available. In fact there were lots of books here that are quite hard to find, as well as a number of antique books. Mind you, if you are looking for under priced antique books (as I do) you won’t find them here because she knows her books, and if she knows a book is rare, it will be priced as such. However, I was amazed that such a place existed down here in Southport. I’m almost tempted to drive a truck up here just to spend my life savings on books.” – Mega Book Lover
